Does Autosuggestion work?

To begin with what are auto suggestions? 

Auto-suggestions are precisely what they sound like they are suggestions that you give yourself in order to influence not only your thinking but also the experiences and the world around. As it stands there is much debate as to whether auto-suggestions work or not. 

The one thing that is agree upon though is that the things that you tell yourself consistently will lead you to eventually take action as the statements will overtake your conscious and unconscious mind. 

The thing thing that is not known is how exactly the universe gives you what you ask for. 

For instance there are many books that talk about the process of correctly suggesting yourself. The process goes as such. First, you must write out or determine what you want with a high grade specificity. 

Second. you must then imagine yourself not how you would obtain that thing in the future, but to envision it as if you have already obtained that wish. 

Lastly, you must do this 3 times a day as a bare-minimum in order for the auto-suggestion to work itself into your subconscious mind that will eventually give you what you desire or lead you to take the actions that will give you what you desire. 

While, it sounds unreasonable that if you keep on envisioning you may get what you want. There have been many people out there that claim that they have gotten what they ask for in some shape or form.

To name a few of the proponents of auto-suggestion ,Big  Sean who attributes his success to it, the writer of "Think and Grow Rich" Napolean Hill, Jim Carey who wrote himself a 10 million dollar check before he was ever rich and got it on his dumb and dumber casting. 

So is it a coincidence that they got what they asked for ? Maybe, but more than anything I do believe the what we constantly repeat to ourselves and truly want will express itself to the world in one way or another leading the world to give us in return what we ask for. 

As to how that happens, maybe one day we'll figure out how it works after all the human mind is a limitless machine that still needs to be explored.
