Questions the Way to Shape your Destiny

Questions the most power influences in our lives other than beliefs but I'll go over beliefs in another blog. Questions can be so powerful that they can keep you where you are or they can help you perceive life the way you want. Let me give you an example have you ever been feeling sad and while you were sad the only thing you could see was everything that kept you sad?  That's because you kept on asking yourself the question why does this happen to me? Or why is this life so full of sadness? By doing so your just enabling or justifying the state that you are in.

That is the power of questions and just as you can use them to justify your dis-empowering behavior you can use them to empower your behavior. How? The answer is by stopping yourself and interrupting your current state or behavior. Now, I'm not saying this will be easy but you can interrupt your behavior by asking yourself an empowering question. Let me give you another example let's say I feel depressed from a tragedy of some sort instead of asking myself why is life so hard? Why is this happening to me? You would catch yourself and ask yourself how can I be happy?Or what's good about this situation? I know it sounds ridiculous but stay with me for a minute. What these questions do is they interrupt your regular frame of thought and force you to see the other perspectives that you are not focusing on.

If you ask yourself the questions in such a way you will see that the effects will change the way you are perceiving life. As oppose to the other way where you are just looking at the problem and not focusing on the solutions. Asking questions drives our decisions and forms our beliefs. Questions essentially choose what we focus on for instance if I ask myself what inside this room is green? Your mind will instantly try and find everything that is green because that is what it's focusing on. It is in the moment you ask yourself that question what your mind chooses to focus on. Your not trying to figure out what you're having for dinner or what's going on in China. Your focus is on the objective to your question. This is because our mind filters all the information around us in order so we can focus on what's important or needs to get done in the moment. It's basically a survival mechanism so we don't get so overwhelmed by all the information in the world.

So in order to start changing ourselves we must start asking the questions that will help us get the best out of any situation. Rather than asking questions that will only makes us focus on the problem let's start solving the the problem. By doing so you will unlock the key to taking control of your life and not being reactive to your environment. You will live a much happier life doing so and this applies for all aspects of life not just that your relationships will get better as you will also be able to know just how to react in every conversation.

Ask yourself powerful empowering questions.

Here are 5 questions you can use to solve problems in your life that you can start applying TODAY.

  1. What is great about this problem?
  2. What is not perfect yet?
  3. What am I willing to do to make it the way I want it?
