How to Make A Great First Impression.

Have you ever heard the expression you only get  one shot at a first impression? Well that is so true the first time you meet someone is the way they are gonna remember and this applies to all of aspects of life. On a date it only takes one look to know if you click with the person or not. In business it only takes one glimpse at your appearance to see if you can be trusted and liked by the other person. When you enter a room full of people that don’t know who you are there is only one chance to make a good impression.


Now the question is how do I make a good impression? Good question the best and most effective way to make a first impression is by giving a smile. A smile tells a lot about you if you can give a good smile it can mean the world in making an impact  on people. A smile is a reflection of yourself and I mean a real smile because you can give a fake smile but it will be detected as soon as you give it. A real smile is a companion to a great ATTITUDE with those two combined you will always be able to give a good first impression. It’s actually so powerful that it can change the entire mood of a whole room when you do it.


I’m writing this because I want you to be able to have a great life giving a smile and having a great attitude isn’t just meant for good impressions it’s meant to improve your life. If you have a great attitude and smile all the time it is life changing. Combine that with not criticizing, listening to others and showing appreciation for others and now you’re talking about a very influential person who has the power to conquer anything in his/her life.


Now if you’re not a person who is used to smiling you have some work ahead of you. If you can do it though like I mentioned earlier a greater life awaits you. So to start getting in a habit of smiling you have to feel the emotion this can be done by influencing your body. If you’re mopey and always looking down that is a reflection of your attitude and it will show in your body. What you need to do is influence your body to take the actions you want so that your mentality aligns with you actions. Actually since emotions and actions are correlated whenever you change one the other one will follow.  Since it’s much easier to influence your physical body to move than to make yourself feel a certain emotion start there.


Some tips for making yourself feel happy are:


  • Walk with your chin up high and shoulders straight this will give you more confidence
  • Force yourself to smile this action can help you get the gist of how to feel happy and the expression of it
  • Get active or strike a power pose to make you get into that state. Emotion follows motion as Tony Robbins would say.


Hope these tips help. Remember you deserve to make yourself happy and everyone around you.Start today and continue at it till you have your smiles and attitude on point. Once you can do that it will be very hard for someone not to like you.
